The BSIS and COVID-19
The BSIS has issued several alerts in the past week regarding the COVID-19 outbreak.
Important - Contacting the Bureau
Attention: Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, BSIS is experiencing significant phone delays. Please email BSIS@DCA.CA.GOV instead of calling or check WWW.BSIS.CA.GOV for FAQs.
BSIS Building is Closed
Due to recommendations and guidance from local and state health officials to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our building is closed to the public until further notice. However, our office remains open for employees during this pandemic.
If you need to renew your existing license, would like to apply for a new license, or make changes to your information, we strongly encourage you to log onto your BreEZe account at https://www.breeze.ca.gov/. If you would like to file a complaint, we strongly encourage you to do so by visiting https://www.dca.ca.gov/consumers/complaints/consumer.shtml

New Free Downloadable Training Video
For years we have had an instructional video that walks students through completing and submitting the initial BSIS application paperwork. It is included in the Part 1 training, posted to our website, Vimeo, and YouTube. We recently completed a total rebuilding of the video with updates for the 2020 forms and processes.
Now, for the first time, we are making the video available for download to our corporate partners!
The 9-minute, 720p HD video is available for download from our new Corporate FAQ website (linked above). Feel free to use this video internally to help staff complete their paperwork.
