NOTE
This is only the first lesson of a 2-lesson course. The second lesson, Appropriate Use of Force, must be completed with live instruction in a licensed training facility.
Students must travel to a facility and complete the second half, Appropriate Use of Force, as an instructor-led course.
Dividing this course between online and facility lecture is due to a change in Business and Professions Code, § 7583.7, implemented on January 1, 2024.
Upon finishing this half of the course, present your certificate of completion to any training facility, pay the course fee, and complete the second half of the training at the training facility.
At the end of the Appropriate Use of Force lecture, the facility instructor will present the final examination, issue another certificate of completion, and all application paperwork.
